All of them were demolished in April 2006, and the foundation of Aria was laid in June. The building was constructed at a rate of one floor per week.

In 2007, in the middle of construction Infinity World Development, a subsidiary of Dubai World, acquired 50 % of the CityCenter project for $2.7 billion. Since then, Aria has had two owners.

The inauguration of Aria and CityCenter happened on 16 December 2009.

Aria Casino Hotel Design

Aria consists of two curved buildings of glass and steel. They are interconnected, and there is a three-story lobby and casino at their base. Their decoration is of natural materials: wood, stone, and glass.

It can not be called a thematic design that distinguishes it from most of the hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. In the interior of Aria, there are numerous works of art.
